Yamamoto Noh Theater

A historic wooden three-story building and a registered tangible cultural property, located in the vicinity of Osaka Castle. The stage, a national treasure and cultural artifact, offers the chance to freely enjoy traditional Japanese theater such as Noh, Bunraku or Rakugo. Explanations are offered in a variety of languages, including Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean, and performances can also be watched with subtitles. The theater can also be used as a venue for parties or receptions, allowing guests to watch a performance over a meal and drinks. In addition, you can also try out for yourself such experiences as Noh, tea ceremony, flower arranging, calligraphy, and kimono wearing. This traditional Japanese building with tatami-mat floors is like a guest house for discovering Japanese culture, offering a comprehensive chance to experience authentic Japanese culture. This refined Noh theater has hosted many state guests and international dignitaries. At the G20 Osaka Summit, Prime Minister Theresa May also visited and used the theater as a backdrop during a BBC interview.
