With attractions like the Tokyo Disney Resort, the city of Urayasu certainly looks like a modern, cosmopolitan metropolis, but it also exhibits the feel of ancient Edo cultivated in its rivers and the ocean. In addition to such unique venues as yakatabune (roofed pleasure boats) for parties and helicopters for aerial expeditions, Urayasu has all the tourism resources, including large-scale hot springs facilities and multipurpose commercial facilities to host a variety-filled event. With its close proximity to Tokyo as well as to Narita Airport and Haneda Airport and with about 12,000 hotel guest rooms, this highly convenient city is a perfect place for conventions. The Maihama area features Maihama Amphitheater with a total floor space of over 14,000sqm and several hotels with conference halls of over 2,000sqm, are optimal locations for a gatherings business functions.

  • This is a museum to explore the unique culture of Urayasu, which dates back to the time when it was a fishermen’s town. Easy-to-understand exhibitions show you the town’s nature, history and culture, which have been nurtured by “mother sea.” At the outdoor exhibition “Urayasu-no Machi,” you can see Urayasu back in 1952 as well as Sangen Nagaya, a row house built in the Edo Period and a tangible cultural property of Chiba Prefecture.
