Akita

Akita City is a core city with a population of approximately 300,000. It is located on the side of the Sea of Japan in the northern Tohoku region and is surrounded by nature. It flourished as a castle town of the Satake Clan. The city’s efforts on both technical and organizational developments have earned national and international recognition, including being designated as an International Convention City by the Ministry of Transportation in December 1994. With excellent sake, delicious food, and beautiful seasonal scenery, the warm hospitality of Akita makes it the perfect stage for your next convention. The Akita Convention & Visitors Bureau members are dedicated to serving as your local support team, ensuring a successful event.
