Nowadays, the term "Zen" is well known across the world. Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei has introduced a unique Zen meditation experience utilizing traditional Japanese candles. This meditation practice is inspired by the "Eternal Light of the Dharma," a core concept of Buddhism, which has been continuously burning at the temple for over 1,200 years. Participants write their personal wishes on the candles and meditate while watching the flickering flames. This method is said to enhance concentration more than typical Zen meditation practices.
