Temple

Mt. Rokko is beloved by the residents of Kobe and is home to a variety of hiking routes.
Maya is the only place in the Rokko mountains where virgin forest still remains.
Take part in a roughly 90-minute hike led by a master guide as you learn about and see first-hand the seasonal plants of the area. After lunch at a mountaintop cafe overlooking the city of Kobe, proceed to Mayasan Tenjoji Temple, the only temple in Japan dedicated to Buddha's mother.
Learn about meditation from the monks at the main hall of the temple, prayer, and have a short Zazen meditation experience.
You can also ride the ropeway or cable car, and making this hiking excursion a fun and easy way to enjoy the Rokko mountains.
