Uminonakamichi Seaside Park
The Forest of Environmental Symbiosis area inside the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has been implementing an initiative since 2009 in collaboration with the local people to create a forest for 50 years by planting nursery trees for 20 years in an area that was initially empty, under the concept of “creating a forest from scratch”. Local people, companies and organizations, and many other people participate in it every year as a volunteer activity, and use it as an opportunity to think about social contribution and environmental conservation while enjoying the work.
