Tree-Planting Program for Coral Protection and Growth (Ishigaki Island)

Ishigaki Island is an island surrounded by coral, which plays an essential role in daily life there and is even used in the foundation of homes and in roads. This coral has faced the threat of extinction in recent years, risking a severe impact on the fishing industry as well as the economy of the entire island and the lives of its residents. This program is an outdoor activity for post-COVID incentive travel that offers tree-planting (forestation to protect coral reefs) to prevent erosion of red clay soil into the ocean, which protects the coral, marine life, and the environment as a whole.
*Jointly developed with Ishigaki Island Eco Tour Rinpana
