Noh Theater of Sumiyoshi Shrine

This tangible cultural asset of Fukuoka City is recognized for its high architectural value, as it is one of the very few wooden Noh theaters from before World War II. Following renovations in autumn 2023, the theater now hosts a variety of events, including classical concerts and plays, and traditional Japanese Noh and Kyogen performances. Post-event parties with light refreshments are also available.
