Kiyosumi Gardens, with its large pond, man-made hills and precious rocks collected from all over Japan, is a superb example of a Meiji (1868-1912) strolling garden.
Enjoy a sumptuous meal in the Taisho Kinenkan, which overlooks the gardens. You can also enjoy the feeling of floating on water at the Ryotei Lodge, which is partially built over the pond.
