City: Osaka See the map
The imperial guest house of Osaka City was built in 1959 to welcome prominent visitors from abroad. The western-style building offers the elegant beauty of modern architecture, along with magnificent lawns and lush gardens spreading over a 1.3-hectare area. The circuit-style gardens, separated into an East Garden and a West Garden, retain a tea ceremony room unchanged from when it was first built, which still serves visitors to this day. Rooftops can be rented for the enjoyment of the guests, providing a wonderful view of the garden, the cherry blossom trees lining the Japan Mint, and the Okawa River resplendent in seasonal colors. The rooftop is a perfect place to enjoy an aperitif or after-dinner drinks. The Garden Oriental Osaka allows you to spend a relaxing time in a setting far removed from everyday life while remaining in the heart of the city.
