Niigata
Niigata is home to Toki Messe, one of the largest convention complex on the Sea of Japan coast. With an expansive exhibition space with capacity of 10,000, 13 large and small conference rooms, hotels and other facilities, Toki Messe can smoothly accommodate all aspects of conventions, from conferences to parties and lodging. Niigata is two hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen, and features expressways and other high-speed infrastructure. Watch traditional Japanese dance performances of Niigata Furumachi Geigi, who carry on 200-year-old traditions, at the former estate of a wealthy merchant and other historical buildings and enjoy traditional party games with them. You can also arrange geigi performances for your event. Subject to certain conditions, your event may qualify for the Omotenashi Subsidy that covers a half of expenses (up to 200,000 yen). - Grilling Your Own Rice Crackers at Niigata Senbei Okoku
Niigata Prefecture is Japan’s largest producer of rice crackers. At Niigata Senbei Okoku (Rice Cracker World) you can watch rice crackers being made, learn about the manufacturing process and try making your original rice crackers.
