Narita

Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and Omotesando Street

One of the most famous and oldest sacred grounds in Japan with a history of more than 1,000 years, the temple is visited by over 10 million people every year. After passing through the all-zelkova Somon Gate, you can see the Niomon Gate, Daihondo Hall, Shakado Hall, Komyodo Hall and many other structures, which show you the history and tradition of Japanese Buddhism. Adjacent to the temple is Naritasan Park, which offers distinctive views and flowers of each season. From mid-February to mid-March, the park is filled with the scent of plum blossoms when its plum garden is in full bloom.
