Fukui

Fukui Prefecture is located in the center of Japan and is easily accessible from all parts of the country. In addition, access was further improved with the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line on 16 March 2024. Convention facilities and hotels are clustered around Fukui Station, making it possible to hold a MICE event in a compact area. Fukui Prefecture is also home to Awara Onsen, making a hot spring themed MICE event combining meetings and accommodation possible. Unique venues are also available, such as a hall with a Noh stage, a facility with a beautiful Japanese garden, a local railway, and a sake brewery.

Zen Meditation Experience
Zen meditation, Dharma talks, and training in Shojin Ryori vegetarian cooking and meal preparation are available at Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect of Zen Buddhism.
Traditional Craft Making Experience
There are seven traditional crafts in Fukui Prefecture. Hands-on programs are available where you can actually experience these traditional crafts for yourself and make your own Echizen washi paper, Echizen lacquerware, and Echizen hammered knives.
