Inuyama is located in the northernmost part of Aichi Prefecture, about 30 minutes by Meitetsu train or 1 hour by car from Nagoya Station. At roughly 25 minutes from Komaki IC on the Meishin Expressway, Komaki-higashi IC on the Chuo Expressway, and Gifu-Kakamigahara IC on the Tokai Hokuriku Expressway, access from every direction is very convenient. The city is home to two national treasures: Inuyama-jo Castle and Jo-an, a teahouse in Urakuen Garden.
Visitors can enjoy strolls through this former castle town, which boasts many shops. Inuyama offers visitors many options for attractions, from ukai (cormorant fishing) on the Kisogawa River and other cultural traditions to theme parks such as The Museum Meiji-Mura, The Little World Museum of Man, and Japan Monkey Park.
