With Beppu and Yufuin heading a long list of hot springs areas, Oita Prefecture is the most popular hot springs region in Japan. The city of Oita has had the feel of an international frontier since the days of Otomo Sorin, an early adopter of Western cultures. High numbers of exchange students and international tourists in recent years have increased Oita’s recognition as a city of international tourism and hot springs culture. The city has earned a solid reputation for hosting national and international conventions.
Holding your convention in Oita will surely satisfy both organizers and participants.
