SUPPORT MEASURES

1. Financial support for conventions
• Subsidy Programs
This subsidy is granted according to the number of hotel-room nights when nonresidents of Hyogo Prefecture stay at lodging facilities within Himeji city limits.
Up to 1 million yen (2,000 yen x total hotel-room nights (at least 25 participants)) for conventions, academic conferences and research seminars
Up to 500,000 yen (1,000 yen x total hotel-room nights (at least 50 participants)) for corporate conventions
Up to 1 million yen (500 yen x total hotel-room nights (at least 50 participants)) for sports tournaments
Up to 300,000 yen (300 yen x total number of hotel-room nights (at least 50 participants)) for training camps for universities and other organizations
• Shuttle bus subsidy
This subsidy is granted for chartering shuttle buses for transportation between multiple venues within Himeji city limits.
Up to 250,000 yen (50,000 yen/bus)
* Limited to recipients of the convention subsidy
* Limited to events that draw at least 300 participants
* This subsidy cannot overlap with the tourism bus subsidy.
• Tourism bus subsidy
This subsidy is granted for chartering tourism buses for excursions within Himeji city limits.
Up to 250,000 yen (50,000 yen/bus)
* Limited to buses with at least 25 participants aboard
* International conferences and national conventions held outside Himeji city limits are also eligible for this subsidy.
2. Other support for conventions
• Various tourism pamphlets
Languages: English, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Thai
• Convention bags
Up to 200 bags free of charge, extra fee for extra bags
• Discount coupons for Himeji tourism facilities
Coupons are customized with the name of the convention printed on them.
Some facilities that offer discounts: Himeji-jo Castle, Kokoen Garden, Himeji City Museum of Art, and more
• Setting up tourism booths/souvenir shops
HCVB arranges the setup of tourism booths and souvenir shops at convention venues.
