2025.07.24 Kyoto Selected as the Host City for the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference 2027!

We are pleased to announce that Kyoto has been selected as the host city for the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) 2027. The conference is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, January 13 to Saturday, January 16, 2027, and is expected to welcome approximately 1,200 participants in total, including around 500 international attendees.

APMEC is an annual conference that brings together experts in health professions education to share cutting-edge research and case studies. It serves as a valuable platform for discussing the latest insights and best practices in the education of healthcare professionals, a challenge shared by all nations around the world.

This will be the first time the conference is being held in Japan. It has been made possible through the strong relationship and long-standing collaboration between the National University of Singapore—the founding institution of APMEC—and members of the Japan Society for Medical Education, including Dr. Harumi Gomi Yano from International University of Health and Welfare School of Medicine, a JNTO MICE Ambassador*.
The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) supported the selection process of the host city in Japan by providing relevant information and guidance.

*JNTO MICE Ambassadors, appointed by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), play a key role in promoting Japan as a premier destination for MICE events. These distinguished thought leaders, innovators, and dedicated researchers from top academic institutions and industries serve as local representatives and advocates for international MICE events held in Japan.
