2018.08.02 Japan Conference Ambassadors help attract two international congresses to Yokohama

The Japan Convention Bureau is proud to announce that thanks to the efforts of conference ambassadors* Yamaya Taiga and Terada Kenjirō, Yokohama, Japan has been selected to host two important conferences—the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conference in 2021 and the 15th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM) the following year.

In a fierce competition with leading destinations worldwide, Yokohama was praised for meeting the needs of international conference organizers. The city offers convenient access from the international airports in Tokyo, a variety of accommodation options, an attractive atmosphere around the venue and a high-standard of event facilities.

*The Japan Conference Ambassador Program is a program run by the Japan Convention Bureau, since 2013. Through this program, notable professionals in the Japan meetings industry receive consulting and financial support to bid and host international conferences.
