The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is delighted to announce that Tokyo has placed the winning bid to host the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) World Congress on May 23–26, 2024 at the CINP Executive Committee Meeting.
The annual CINP World Congress provides a forum for researchers in psychiatry, pharmacology, and neuroscience, as well as clinical pharmacists and other specialists, for exchanging ideas and the latest information on the development of highly safe and effective pharmaceuticals. This meeting will be the second one to be conducted in Japan since the 17th Congress was held in Kyoto in 1990.
In October 2019, the CINP 2024 bid committee in Japan, welcomed the Executive Committee delegation of the CINP to Tokyo. The delegates toured the Tokyo International Forum, where the Congress is planned to be held. Further, presentations that highlighted the convenience and other advantages of the host city were given. Afterward, CINP Executive Committee members, CINP 2024 bid committee members, and other relevant people were given the opportunity to gather, exchange information, and socialize. This cooperative framework of the Japanese team became the decisive factor for Tokyo in winning the bid.
The JNTO, in collaboration with the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, played an important role in this successful bid. It assisted the CINP 2024 bid committee in Japan.
