The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is seeking submissions of photo and video content that inspires viewers to hold their business events in Japan. If you are a professional in the meetings industry or have attended meetings, conventions, incentives or events in Japan, why not share some of the "Wow!" moments that you have captured through your lens while in Japan?
The Japan Convention Bureau, a section of JNTO, promotes Japan as an innovative and exciting destination for international meetings, incentive tours, conventions and events. Our slogan, "Japan. Meetings & Events - New ideas start here -" captures the essence of why organizations should consider taking their business events to Japan: coming into contact with the local people and culture can trigger imaginative and innovative ideas. Participants of business events in Japan can gain inspiration and flashes of insight, which may enable their business growth.

Entries will be judged and sorted based on how well they express Japan's business events thematic values listed below.
Images that showcase delegates’ interaction with the Japanese academic and business communities or local industry. The images that portray an atmosphere wherein delegates are inspired by new perspectives and insight that will propel the further development of academics and industry.
An active discussion at an international conference, the scene of a presentation on new research or technology at an exhibition, etc.

The Grand Prize Winner and Category Winners will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at IME2019 (to be held on February 28th, 2019 at the Tokyo International Forum).
All prize-winning content will be exhibited at the awards ceremony (the exhibited photographs will later be sent to the prize-winners) and posted on the JNTO Meetings & Events official website.

Didier Scaillet, CITP was named CEO for the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) in January 2018. A MICE industry veteran, he has extended global experience and a deep understanding of association management. Scaillet started his career working for one of the first association management companies in Europe, quickly becoming a business partner. For 18 years he held various roles with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) as director of European operations, vice-president of global development and chief development officer for MPI and the MPI Foundation. He has also served on various industry forums and organizations: Joint Meetings Industry Council, Events Industry Council, Canadian Tourism Commission and United Nations World Tourism Organization.
Established Finesse Hospitality Management Co., Ltd. in 2017. Plans events and offers MICE-related strategies, unique venue development and hotel service-related consulting. Has extensive experience as a hotel supplier and a planner of corporate meetings. Has built solid reputation for knowledgeable, attentive event planning with global viewpoint in both fields. Has handled 800 meetings and events, from global events to small high-end events. Conducts MICE-related workshops, networking events and lectures.
Served as a member of the Tokyo MICE Advisory Board and the Japan Tourism Agency’s MICE Branding Exploratory Committee. Named a “local producer” for the Cabinet Office’s “Cool Japan” strategy in 2016.
Received MPI Chair’s award in 2016 and Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner’s Award in 2017.
After having worked as Editor both at Japan Echo Inc., in Tokyo and Hungry For Words.com in Hong Kong, joined Congress Corporation, currently Chief International Relations Executive. Concurrently serving as Council Member of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) since February 2013.
Organized governmental and corporate conferences/events and exhibitions both overseas and at home in Japan. Successfully invited the 49th IAPCO Annual Meeting & General Assembly in Tokyo for the first time in 25 years. Through weaving Japanese “OMOTENASHI” hospitality into the program and social activities, IAPCO’s 50h Anniversary meeting could enjoy 102 attendees from 32 countries and regions, a record high in IAPCO’s history. Kayo is a certified instructor of the Japanese Tea ceremony ? Urasenke School, as well as a holder of National Guide Certificate (English) for guide interpreters in Japan.
2007 to 2010 - Employed at Fuji Photo Gallery (Roppongi)
His duties and initiatives included spearheading the planning, operation, and production of photo exhibitions; participating in exchanges with a host of professional photographers, photo enthusiasts, and photography organizations; as well as providing guidance and consulting for photography exhibitions and implementation of the Fujifilm photo contest. He also headed the Fujifilm Single-8 Club secretariat from 1975 to 1994, where he was active in the planning and implementation of events such as the annual national photography session and where he served as editor of the bulletin "My Singles 8."

Born in Tokyo, Anju was scouted as a model by the designer Givenchy, and went to Paris. As an international model, she worked with many photographers, such as Peter Lindbergh, Oribiero Tosukani, William Klein, etc. As she came back to Tokyo she became a photographer, creating her own unique world with a story.
She is creating the naive world of teenagers during adolescence with words and photos. In 2015, she held her photo exhibition "KOKORO+ANJU", which was based on interviews she did at the "Le Bon Marche Rive Gauche Le Japon Rive Gauche", in Paris, about Child's dreams. She has been taking pictures of "Zhangjiajie", which is a world natural heritage site in Hunan Province of China, for a while, and here work has had a high reputation.
She also works to analyze and understand the pictures that describes the history by itself.
Kawasaki joined the Japan National Tourism Organization in 1992. She has a total of 14 years of experience in the business meetings industry. She has been the Executive Director of Japan Convention Bureau since 2016.
In 2018, she has been nominated as "one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry for 2018" by Successful Meetings.
